　　理查德的生活看起来很美满，有一个可爱的未婚妻，一对无论做任何事都支持自己的父母，同时事业也是蒸蒸日上。直到某天，一直嫉妒他的兄弟告诉理查德其实他是被领养的。理查德随后雇佣侦探去寻找自己的生身父母，没想到寻亲之旅成了一场噩梦，生身父母地位卑贱，无权无势，这让理查德觉得有些难以接受……
